A novel proposal

Weight reduction

The flexible tank approach reduces the number of layers required to manufacture a tank, which has a direct impact on the final weight of the component.

Unique design

A single internal plastic layer, thicker, highly resistant, and transparent, which contains the fuel along with the intake filter. This robust layer incorporates two lateral channels designed to allow the insertion of carbon tubes for securely attaching the tank to the aircraft.

Adaptability

The suction and aeration connections are located on the upper part of the tank. This constructive solution allows the adaptation to any type of flight device, and the connections can be reoriented according to the customer's needs.

FAQs

Are the tanks pressurisable?

No.
Our bladder tanks are not designed to operate under internal pressure. They function by gravity or with external pumping systems. Pressurising them may compromise the integrity of the material, cause leaks, or even result in structural damage. They should never be used as pressurised vessels.
Our bladder tanks should not be inflated or pressurised. All tanks have passed a leak test, carried out at 0.15 bar on a test bench, under controlled conditions, with a precision pressure gauge and a redundant pressure regulator system. It is strongly recommended that ANSI be consulted before any pressure test is performed. ANSI will reject any warranty claim resulting from overpressurization due to improper testing. Over-pressurization may elongate the bladder film and/or damage the bladder seams without visual evidence.

How are the tanks attached to the fuselage or aircraft structure?

The tanks are designed with a system of reinforced lateral channels, allowing them to be securely attached to the fuselage or structure using carbon tubes or fixing rings. On high-load aircraft (Gs), it is essential to consult a technician to ensure the installation is compatible with operational loads. We can provide fixing kits or specific configurations upon request.

What is the expected lifetime of the tanks?

The service life of our tanks depends on the type of use, environmental conditions, and level of care. Under normal operating conditions, the expected service life is a minimum of 50 flights and can be extended with proper maintenance.

Several factors can shorten the service life:

  • High stresses or high G-forces (e.g. very aggressive aerobatic flights, catapult launch systems, or similar).
  • Contact with incompatible substances.
  • Wear caused by rubbing against abrasive or sharp elements.
  • Incorrect storage (e.g. folded with fuel residues inside).

What care and maintenance do they require?

To ensure maximum performance and durability, we recommend:

  • Regular internal and external cleaning, especially after each prolonged use.
  • Dry, shaded storage, properly folded and free from fuel residues.
  • Regular visual inspection: look for signs of wear, cracks, delamination, or deformation.
  • Avoid contact with incompatible chemicals.
  • In the case of prolonged storage, apply preservatives recommended for elastomeric materials.
Specific maintenance guides are available upon request directly from our technical team.

What fuels are the tanks compatible with?

Our tanks are designed to be compatible with a wide range of fuels: petrol, diesel, Jet A-1, AVGAS, among others.
Always check the product data sheet or consult our team before storing special blends or biofuels.

Can I use these tanks in aircraft or military vehicles?

Yes, many of our models are designed for mobile applications, including aircraft, boats and land vehicles.
However, for aeronautical applications, prior technical validation and compliance with local regulations is always recommended. We can provide customised advice for defence or aviation projects.
